Tom Pausma, DMD, D.ABDSM, FAGD
Dr. Tom Pausma was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI before going to college at UW-Milwaukee. After graduating, Tom moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tom believes strongly in being a lifetime learner, his passion for dentistry has only intensified after schooling. Dr. Tom spends on average over 100 hours per year in continuing education courses. He has focused his post grad learning on placing and restoring dental implants and treating obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy. Dr. Tom earned his AGD Fellowship in 2023, a distinct honor in the Dental community, which demonstrates Dr. Tom's passion and dedication to his profession through his commitment to continuing education courses. Dr. Tom earned his Diplomate Status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in 2022, signifying his experience and in-depth knowledge in providing oral appliance therapy for sleep-related breathing disorders.
Like any true Wisconsinite, Tom knew he wanted to call Wisconsin home upon finishing Dental school. While living in Boston, Tom met his future wife, Gina, and after a few years of dating they moved to Madison in the summer of 2016. They immediately expanded their family with the addition of their beloved Bernie, a French Bulldog, who has become 608 Family Dental's mascot. Tom and Gina take advantage of the park system throughout Dane County and Wisconsin. Hiking, biking, and snowshoeing are among their favorite outdoor activities. Gina's Italian family has sparked a love for cooking, Tom has been drawn recently to smoking meats for hours and hours on his pellet grill. Tom and Gina were married in the Summer of 2019 when they eloped to the Faroe Islands, a remote island in the North Atlantic ocean. In January of 2022, the Pausmas welcomed a baby girl into the world. They look forward to the adventure that is parenthood.
Dr. Tom met Dr. RJ Carpenter near the end of 2019. After a while they knew that their wishes were aligned and proceeded to transition ownership of the practice. Dr. Tom and Dr. RJ worked alongside each other for over a year as Tom got to know RJ's patients. Dr. Carpenter remains a valued mentor to Dr. Pausma even after his retirement in January of 2022.

Kim
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kim is originally from Kansas City and moved to the Madison area in 2010 with her husband and two kids. She enjoys cooking, traveling, trying different restaurants (please share with me your favorites!), live music and convertible rides in the country. Kim started her career as a Dental Hygienist in 1992 and enjoys not only the clinical aspect of her job, but also getting to know each of her patients personally. Kim believes the bond between patients and their Dental Hygienist is important and leads to a great, healthy smile.
Jenni
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jenni was born and raised in Sun Prairie and considers it "home" even though she spent many of her adult years in Milwaukee. Jenni and her husband chose to relocate back to Sun Prairie in 2018 to raise their family. They have 2 children and a dog that keeps life very busy, but full of love! Together, they enjoy being outdoors, whether it be on the lake, backyard grilling, or playing yard games. Jenni looks forward to getting to know new patients and continue serving the existing patients at 608 Family Dental!
Jenni started her career in the dental industry in 2011. Jenni genuinely cares about your whole health, not just your oral health. People who take regular care of their mouths tend to be healthier all-around and it's Jenni's goal to work with you and cater to your individualized needs. Together we can improve your oral health so you can see changes in other areas of your health, body, and daily life.
Morganne
Registered Dental Hygienist
Morganne grew up in Rockford, IL but has been living in Wisconsin for the last 10 years. She enjoys spending time outside with her 2 young daughters. Morganne loves to travel, especially to a beach. She is an avid reader and enjoys a good cup of coffee. Morganne teaches at Blackhawk Technical college in the dental hygiene/assisting program. Morganne enjoys building relationships with her patients and looks forward to making a positive impact in your overall health.
Melissa
Registered Dental Hygienist
Melissa grew up in Northern Utah and has lived in Wisconsin for the past 16 years with her husband, two kids, and grumpy cat. Melissa loves summertime, hiking, and going to the beach, as well as theatre, photography, and traveling to new places.
Melissa enjoys developing relationships with her patients and strives to put each person at ease during their dental visit. It’s very satisfying to see the positive impact that regular dental cleanings have on a person’s oral health. Melissa believes there is nothing more beautiful than a freshly cleaned mouth and bright smile!

Dental Assistant
Emily is a proud Wisconsin native. Her family currently operates a family dairy farm in rural Wisconsin. Emily received her Dental Assistant degree from Penn Foster University as a Dental Assistant and has over 10 years of experience in several areas of dentistry. Emily takes great pride in her work and always ensures her patients feel comfortable during their visit.
Kelsie
Dental Assistant
Kelsie grew up in DeForest, Wisconsin. When not at work, Kelsie enjoys spending time with her two children, going on walks with her dog, traveling, and discovering new coffee shops and breweries. Kelsie earned her Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification in 2018. She has experience in all aspects of general dentistry and advanced surgeries. Kelsie's goal is to make sure patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and create a positive impact on her patient's dental health!
Susan
Practice Manager
Although a California native, Susan has lived in Sun Prairie over the past 20 years with her family. Susan loves the beauty of Wisconsin's four distinct seasons and how genuinely friendly people are in this community. When not enjoying a walk or kayaking with her husband, Susan is also a very skilled photographer.
Susan is most proud of the 608 Family Dental team, who are passionate about quality patient care! Susan is more than just a Manager, she takes an active role in getting to know all of the patients to make sure everyone is receiving the best care possible.
Brianna
Financial Coordinator
Brianna grew up in Sun Prairie and loves spending time with her family doing anything outdoors. One thing Brianna loves the most about Wisconsin is the beautiful summers we have and spending time out on all the beautiful lakes! Oh and of course the amazing cheese curds!
Brianna enjoys seeing the impact a healthy smile can make in someone’s life and the new found confidence they find in themselves with a healthy bright smile!
Bernie
Practice Mascot (Dr. Tom's dog)
Bernie is a 7 year old French Bulldog. He enjoys long walks over short distances, getting attention from humans, belly rubs, being a lap dog, and looking irresistible to get extra treats. Bernie is a founding member of the Madison Frenchies meetup group - a group of roughly 40+ French Bulldogs that get together monthly in the Madison area. He is in competition for attention with a new baby at home, so he will not mind if you ask to see him at the office.
